Our volunteers are the backbone of Healing Hoofbeats, Inc. and each tremendous step our students make is only possible through the hard work and dedication of people just like you!
Healing Hoofbeats volunteers have many talents. Some are gifted horsemen, others have professional health care backgrounds, and many are just caring individuals from all walks of life that want to help others understand and experience the power of the horse/human bond.
To become a volunteer working directly with our clients as leaders, sidewalkers and grooms you must first submit an application, attend a training workshop and commit to a regular schedule of at least 1 session per week for 12 weeks. This allows for the consistancy in our lesson schedules that our students rely on.
All volunteer positions are not horse related, however, and we are currently seeking help with administrative, fundrasing, grant writing, advertising, construction, and maintenance tasks as well as horse show and Fall Festival help. We appreciate every effort, however small, and value any assistance in improving the Healing Hoofbeats program and bringing it to more individuals.
